What is a Tune-Up and how often should I have it done?
A tune-up is designed to take an air conditioning system and make it more efficient running with minimal breakdowns. We recommend a tune-up on a regular basis every 6 months or at least 1X a year.
When should I replace my air filter?
Every month with standard desposable filters; some filters need to be changed at 6 months or only 1X a year. If you have severe allergies or pets that shed, changing your filter should be done more often.
What is the cost of a service call / diagnostic fee?
The current cost is $94.
Is the diagnostic fee waived if the repair price is approved?
No, the diagnostic fee is a separate charge which covers the cost of the labor to drive to your location and the labor costs involved in the diagnostics.
What is our average response time for a service call?
Average response time will vary depending on the temperature outside or the season. We strive to arrive on the same day but some occasions are within 24 hours of received call.
What brands or units do we service?
We service and sell all makes and models of HVAC equipment. We are qualified to work on all types of HVAC systems.
Does the Technician have all the repair parts I need on his truck?
Our trucks are stocked with standard replacement parts such as: contactors, transformers, relays and some OEM motors. As each system and tonage of system will have different size motors and compressors However, it is impossible to stock every part for every make and model of motors, boards and all filter sizes. Specialty items such as compressors, control boards, blower motors and fans are usually not truck stocked – these items are picked up at the supply house or ordered, as they might be under a warranty part as well.
What is a condenser?
It is a part of the A.C system that sits outside. After the Evaporator coil turns the Freon liquid into a gas, the Condenser condenses the Freon back to liquid. It is also where the compressor is located that pumps the Freon back and forth to and from the evaporator coil.
How long does it take to install a new A/C system?
A standard installation takes 4 to 8 hours.
What is R-454B?
R-454B is the newest HVAC refrigerate, which will gradually replace R-410A. R-454B refrigerate is more energy efficient, reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from the use of electricity and the refrigerate itself has lower GWP.
